Mission Statement  

Congregation Kol Ami of Frederick is an inclusive, Reform Jewish congregation that is family-focused, community oriented, emphasizing spiritual and cultural identity, and dedicated to the Jewish education of all generations. Established in early 2003, the congregation continues to gain momentum, with an ever-growing membership, a thriving Religious School, and more exciting programming each year!

Kol Ami Annual Meeting, June 3rd at 7:00 pm  

Please attend CKAF’s annual Congregational Meeting at UUCF. This meeting is required by CKAF’s by-laws and is important to the governance of our congregation. At the Annual Meeting, the Congregation will elect trustees and officers for the coming year, as well as vote on CKAF’s budget for Fiscal Year 2014, which will be presented at the meeting.  We will also provide important updates and reports on the past year and the year ahead.  Click here for the agenda and slate of candidates.  All members are welcome and urged to attend.  We look forward to seeing you.

Shabbat Morning Service on Sugarloaf Mountain, June 15th at 9:00 am  

Please join us for a hike and short Shabbat service on Sugarloaf Mountain on Saturday morning June 15. We will meet at the West View Parking area and take the gentle trail towards the top of Sugarloaf.  Click here for more details.  If you plan on coming, please contact the Rabbi at rabbi@kolamifrederick.org so that we will wait for you before beginning the hike.

Kol Ami Sisterhood Book Club  

Wednesday, July 10th  2013 Sisterhood Book Club, 12:30 pm The Main Cup, Middletown, MD. Please note that we are going to hold the book club at lunch to see if that will be a more convenient time.  Please let us know what you think.  The book is Quiet by Susan Cain. Click here to RSVP.

Religious School Registration Forms 2013-2014  
Click here for the 2013-2014 Religious School registration forms.  The forms must be downloaded, printed and completed and mailed to the address on the forms
Torah Study and Lunch and Learn  
Torah Study every Monday at 1:00 pm also at the Rabbi's Office.  We discuss the weekly Parsha.  There will be no Torah Study on Monday, May 27th.

Lunch and Learn meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Rabbi's office. In June we will meet on the 11th and 25th.  We will begin reading various Midrashim which are stories about the Torah. If you are interesting in exploring some of our most sacred texts, please call Rabbi Dan at the office to find out all the details. No Hebrew or prior experience required.

The Kol Ami Brotherhood has joined with our friends at Congregation Beth Sholom to sponsor a Blood Drive on May 30th from 2:00 to 7:45 pm.  Click here for more details.

Kol Ami Camping Retreat July 26-28th  
If you have never been on one of our camping trips, this is the year to go. Swimming pool, Waffle breakfasts, hanging out and Shabbat among the trees.  Just like a NFTY camp.

Donation cards are available through CKAF on line. This is a wonderful way to remember a loved one, honor a Bar or Bat Mitzvah child, or just to remember the important times in the lives of your friends and loved ones. Don't forget that you can now make donations to Kol Ami Temple Youth (KATY).  For information on the funds available for your tax-deductible donations, please click here

 We would appreciate it if those making donations complete this donation form.  If it is a donation for a Yartzeit please be sure to provide the information where a memorial card is to be sent.  By completing the donation form we can make sure that the recipient of the donation is contacted and those making  donations are acknowledged in the Voice, our bi-monthly newsletter.
